Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide
Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide is an effective selective, post-emergent herbicide that offers consistent performance against tough broadleaf weeds with reduced odor, making it ideal for use in sensitive environments.
04/13/26
Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide, manufactured by PBI-Gordon, is a professional post-emergent concentrate specially designed to control more than 90 broadleaf weeds in cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf.
This emulsifiable concentrate is engineered with a low-odor profile, addressing concerns in environments like parks, schools, and residential areas. This feature ensures that weed control operations can proceed without causing discomfort to the public.
Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide mixed-amine formulation enhances plant absorption and systemic action, effectively targeting deep-rooted perennials and a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds. When applied properly, it delivers long-lasting results that keep your turf healthy, attractive, and weed-free.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, compression sprayer, boom sprayer, or spray rig can be used.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned turf, apply 1.1 to 1.5 fl. oz. of Trimec 1000 Low-Odor Herbicide per 0.125 to 5.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For warm-seasoned turf, use 0.75 to 0.83 fl. oz. of product per 0.125 to 5.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Set the sprayer nozzle to a coarse spray pattern then spray evenly across the treatment area. Be sure the top and bottom of weed leaves are wet, but not to the point of runoff. If possible, do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 8 to 24 hours after application. If dry conditions exist, a scheduled irrigation or watering 24 hours before and 24 hours after application is recommended.
- Step 4: A second broadcast application or a follow-up application as a spot treatment is advised for more mature weeds, dense infestations, and adverse environmental conditions.
