Tetrino Insecticide, manufactured by Bayer, is a broad-spectrum insecticide solution that eliminates key pests like annual bluegrass weevils and other turfgrass pests in and around residential, commercial, and golf course fields.

This innovative suspension concentrate product contains Tetraniliprole 4.07%, which causes pest death upon ingesting treated foliage. Once applied, this product will continue to control pests, even in their larvae stages, all season long.

Tetrino Insecticide provides flexible use rates and application timing to fit any pest control program, allowing a wide range of preventative and curative treatments.

Tools Needed

This product will be applied with a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

Spot Application on Lawn

  • Step 1: Determine how much Tetrino Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, divide the square footage by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 0.367 to 0.735 fl. oz. of Tetrino Insecticide in 1-3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. For larger treatments, use 16 - 32 fl. oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than a total of 64 fl. oz. of product per acre per calendar year.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the water, pour in the measured amount of Tetrino Insecticide, and add the remaining half of the water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
  • Step 3: When using boom-type equipment, spray the mixed Tetrino Fungicide no more than 4 feet above the ground. For standard application equipment, spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Reapply this week when 6-8 weeks have passed after the application to control white grubs and every other 4 weeks for other pests listed on this product label.

Where to Use

Tetrino Insecticide can be applied to turfgrass in and around residential, commercial, and institutional buildings and on golf courses and sports fields.

For non-agricultural use only. Not for use on sod farms.

When to Use

Apply when pests are first observed and when rainfall is expected within 24 hours of application.

Do not allow this product to contact plants in bloom.

Tetrino Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
