Summit Permacide P-1, manufactured by Summit Chemicals, is designed to be a versatile and safe to apply emulsion product to treat multiple indoor and outdoor pests infestations, including direct application onto livestock and pets such as dogs.

Formulated with the active ingredient permethrin 0.50%, this product will disrupt the insects central nervous system leading to a quick death. 

Summit Permacide P-1 comes as a premixed trigger spray product making it ideal for fast application in hard to reach areas like cracks and crevices, edges, and underneath unmovable appliances or furniture.

Tools Needed

As a trigger spray product, Summit Permacide P-1 does not require additional tools. You may use a handheld pump sprayer or other affix trigger products if desired.

How to Use

• Step 1: Carefully inspect and identify the areas where listed pests may be hiding. During inspection do not move furniture or other objects as this may cause pests such as bed bugs to spread further into afflicted area. You may only cover or remove exposed food, drinking water, feed stuff, water supplies, dishes, utensils, food processing equipment, and food preparation surfaces. For bed bug infestations, take beds apart and spray in joints. For specific treatment rates and precautions refer to the Summit Permacide P-1 label. All spray applications will be applied as a light mist, but not to the point of run-off or drip.
• Step 2: Spray a light mist of Summit Permacide P-1 to perform spot treatments in indoor areas or directly into cracks and crevices. You may spray a generous amount of product to empty chests, closets, bureaus, and other storages, directing the spray into cracks and crevices, joints and crevices.
• Step 3: To treat livestock, spray a light mist to sufficiently wet the surface of the hair. Spray face and head of livestock, but do not allow the product to spray into their eyes.
• Step 4: For dogs, start spraying at the tail, moving the dispenser rapidly to treat the canines entire body, including the legs and underbody except the private parts, face, and eyes. During application, use a chemical resistant glove covered hand to fluff the dogs hair so the product can reach the skin. Do not use on animals under 12 weeks of age.
• Step 5: Allow mattresses and other treated articles to dry thoroughly before use. Fresh bedding should be placed in animal quarters following treatment. Repeat treatments daily or at intervals as listed on the product.

Where to Use

Use Summit Permacide P-1 indoors, edges of carpeting and under carpeting and rugs, tufts and seams of mattresses, bed frame joints, baseboards, moldings, entire areas of floors, floor covering, pet beds for dogs only, resting quarters, nearby cracks and crevices, along and behind baseboards, window and door frames, empty chests, empty closets, empty bureaus, other storages, garments that cannot be washed or dry-cleaned, furniture that cannot be dry-cleaned.

In poultry houses treat the roosts, walls, nests, cages, crevices of roost, poles, cracks in walls, and cracks in nests.

This product may only be used on listed livestock: cattle (beef and dairy), goats, sheep, hogs, and horses. You may treat dogs when they are above 12 weeks in age.

For outdoor applications, this product may treat roses, dahlias, asters, other ornamentals, small and large gardens (not meant for consumption), African violets, azaleas, begonias, camellias, carnations, chrysanthemums, delphiniums, dogwoods, English ivy, euonymus, fuschia, geraniums, crassula, grape vines, Kentia palms, laurels, marigolds, rhododendrons, rubber plants, snapdragons, stocks, wandering Jew and zinnias.

When to Use

Apply Summit Permacide P-1 as soon as pest and their activity is witnessed. Outdoor applications must be performed when temperatures are beneath 90 degrees Fahrenheit and when rain is not forecasted for 24 hours following application.

Safety Information

Summit Permacide P-1 is safe to use around children, dogs, and livestock when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or applying this product.

This product is toxic and potentially fatal if applied to or ingested by cats. If this occurs, immediate veterinary care should be provided.

Special Considerations

Summit Permacide P-1 is approved for indoor, but must be used as a spot or crack and crevice application.

When spraying plants do not apply closer than 18 inches.

Do not use on editable crops.
