The Solo 421-S Spreader is a Solo manufactured portable spreader designed for spreading a variety of granular materials over irregular terrain.The spreader is chest-mounted for comfort during application and is perfect for use in decorative beds with fertilizers and insecticides, and is ideal for lawn maintenance. It is multi-purpose, so you can use it all different types of ways such as for spreading ice melt, oil absorbents, seeds and a variety of other granular products.

Tools Needed

There are no tools needed to operate the Solo Spreader though you do need a granular product to input into the spreader for use.

How to Use

• Step 1: Read the instruction manual carefully and assemble the spreader according to the directions given.
• Step 2: Load your selected granule type into the Solo Spreader and then calibrate the spreader (which can be adjusted for volume and direction).
• Step 3: Mount the spreader onto your chest in the help of the carry strap. Use the instructions to help you in placing it on properly.
• Step 4: Operate the spreader by turning the crank handle and begin spreading the granules to the desired area.

Where to Use

The Solo Spreader can be used outdoors for a variety of uses. Use it to spread granules out onto your lawn, ornamentals, gardens or flowerbeds whether around your home or place of business. Wherever there is a landscape, the Solo Spreader can be used.

When to Use

Use the Solo Spreader when you have weeds or a pest problem outdoors on a landscape that requires the spread of granules be it insecticide, fertilizer or herbicides. You can also use it to spread ice melt when the situation arises.
