Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide
Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide
Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide, manufactured by Southern Agricultural Products, is a water-soluble powder fungicide that prevents ornamental foliage from experiencing a broad-spectrum of diseases on the foliar stem, crown, and roots.
Containing the active ingredient Thiophanate-methyl 50% that is proven to be effective in controlling a wide range of ornamental diseases like anthracnose or rust.
Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide is an easy to use product that can be versatile in application such as foliar spray, soil drench, or plant dip.
Tools Needed
To use Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, motorized spray equipment, or sprinkler irrigation system. If applied as a soil drench, you will need a bucket and digging tools such as a shovel or pickaxe.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment site in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). Application method and mix rates will vary depending on the disease and equipment used. For hand held, mechanical, or motorized applications use 1 to 4 teaspoons of Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide per one gallon of water. For foliar and drench applications, do not exceed 1.8 lbs. of the active ingredient (3.6 lbs. of product) per acre per application. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: In your selected sprayer, add half the amount of water, then the measured amount of Southern Ag Thiomyl Systemic Fungicide. Pour in the remaining half of water and agitate until powder is dissolved.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves and stem until wet, but not to the point of run-off. Repeat applications may be made for soil drenches when 21 to 28 days have passed after first application and foliar applications when 7 to 14 days have passed after first treatment.
