Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate, manufactured by Woodstream, is a natural insecticidal soap that kills insects on contact and up to 10 days after application to keep organic garden plants strong enough for harvest or bloomage.

Utilizes the power of the active ingredient potassium salts of fatty acids 49.52%, to eliminate pests such as aphids and springtails for full control. Gentle enough to protect flowers and succulents, but strong enough to dry out the waxy outer layer of insects for eventual death.

Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate is an excellent contact killing insecticide that emits no foul odors for plant owners, resulting in increased natural aromas of ornamentals.

Tools Needed

Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate can be applied with all types of hand or power sprayers.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat indoor plants, flower and bedding plants growing outdoors and in home greenhouses, ornamental trees and shrubs, and vegetables growing outdoors and in home greenhouses, mix 2.5 fl. oz. (5 tbsp.) of Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate per gallon of water. For tent caterpillar control on ornamental trees and shrubs, use 4 fl. oz. (8 Tbsp.) per gallon of water. Root mealybugs and springtail infestations on indoor plants, use a soil drench of one or two tablespoons of product in a quart of tepid water.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate, then add the remaining half of water. Close the spray tank and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Once you have finished mixing, spray the Safer Brand Insect Killing Soap Concentrate to wet all plant surfaces. Repeat at weekly to biweekly intervals up to three times. Do not make more than 3 sequential applications over a two-week period.
