Quincept Selective Herbicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is an effective post-emergent herbicide that tackles a broad-spectrum of broadleaf and grassy weeds within 14 to 30 days.

Its unique formulation combines three active ingredients 2,4-D, Quinclorac, and Dicamba to deliver comprehensive weed management against crabgrass, dandelion, chickweed, and more.

Quincept Selective Herbicide effectively manages a wide array of weeds during various seasons, ensuring a pristine weed-free lawn.

Tools Needed

You will need a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Quincept Selective Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage of the treatment area by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For broadcast treatments, use 7 to 8 pints of Quincept Selective Herbicide per 10 to 300 gallons of water per acre. For spot treatments, apply 2.6 to 2.9 fl. oz. of product in 0.2 to 6.9 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply greater than 16 pints of this product per acre per year, including all broadcast and spot treatments combined.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the sprayer tank lid and shake until thoroughly mixed.
  • Step 3: Ensure weeds are evenly and thoroughly covered by calibrating equipment properly. Be sure to treat the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet during spot treatments, but not to the point of runoff. All leaves, stems and suckers must be completely wet to the ground line for effective control of woody plants. The minimum retreatment interval is 21 days.

Where to Use

Quincept Selective Herbicide can be used for residential and non-residential turfgrasses (grounds or lawns around residential and commercial establishments, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic grounds, athletic fields, cemeteries, golf courses, and sod farms).

Do not use on golf course greens, tees and collars.

When to Use

For best results, apply this product when weeds are actively growing and in the early stages of growth. More mature grasses will be more difficult to control and may require a second application.

Do not broadcast apply this product above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Spot treatments above 90 degrees Fahrenheit may result in some turf injury.

Safety Information

Quincept Selective Herbicide is safe for children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets out of the treated area for the next 48 hours after application.

Special Considerations

Warm season grasses such as Common Bermuda and Zoysia may see temporary discoloration.

Do not use on lawns with desirable clovers or legumes or on ornamentals.
