Pystol Farm and Dairy Aerosol, manufactured by CSI, is a versatile aerosol product that can be applied as a contact or space spray on livestock such as beef cattle or dairy cattle and livestock housing.

Designed with two active ingredients pyrethrins 0.25% (a botanical insecticide) and permethrin 0.25%, this will work to quickly knockdown insects like fleas or stable flies without harming listed livestock animals. This product also contains a synergist, piperonyl butoxide 2.00%, which enhances the potency of the other active ingredients within the product.

Pystol Farm and Dairy Aerosol is an unique aerosol spray that also functions as an insect repellent to repel various flying and crawling pests for several hours on livestock and livestock areas.

Tools Needed

No additonal tools are required as Pystol Farm and Diary Aerosol comes ready to use.

Use only with the supplied actuator and injection tubes or other approved application equipment.

How to Use

• Step 1: Inspect the area and animal to be treated to ensure that is listed on the Pystal Farm and Dairy product label. Remove all food, pets, birds and cover fish aquariums in the treatment area before spraying. If applied as a space spray then remove all animals, poultry, people and cover all objects from the treatment site.
• Step 2: For crack and crevice applications, attach the injector tip to the Pystol Farm and Diary Aerosol and move the injector tip along the crack at 1 ft. per sec. For inaccessible voids (including wall and equipment voids), calculate the voids cubic area and treat at the rate of 3 to 5 seconds per 3 ft. Several holes may be required for long-running voids.
• Step 3: Direct spray applications should be applied as spot treatments in short bursts from a distance of 36 inches the surface. The amount of product to be applied cannot exceed 10 seconds per room for residential areas and 1 second per 2' X 2' for commercial areas. For direct sprays on listed animals, thoroughly spray from a distance of approximately 2 ft. as it is being released into the pasture. Do not directly spray towards the animals eyes or face. Spot treat withers, shoulders, and back where saliva accumulates from heat tossing. Treat animals no more than 1 time per day.
• Step 4: Space spray applications should have all cabinets and closets in the area open. Turn off air conditions, fans, close doors and windows before treating. Apply one of the following rates depending on the pest infesting the area. Flying insects will use the rate of 1 to 3 seconds per 1,000 sq. ft. Crawling insects will use the rate of 20 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet. Spray towards the pests and areas where pest is infesting. Keep the treated area closed for 15 minutes then when time has passed open and ventilate the area before reoccupying.

Where to Use

Pystol Farm and Dairy Aerosol may be used indoor and outdoors of beef cattle operations, campgrounds, catteries, dairy farms (including milk houses, milk parlors, livestock housing, loafing sheds, and holding lots), hog operations, homes, horse barns and stables, kennels (open construction (fences only)), only cargo areas in aircraft cabins, poultry operations, utilities, inaccessible voids (such as false ceilings, wall, and equipment voids), hog barns, poultry barns, stanchion barns, behind baseboards, sinks, cabinets, meter boxes, door frames, corners of rooms and windows, hollow joints and channels of bed frames, mattress seams, upholstered furniture (only to tufts, seams, edges, folds, and underneath all surfaces except to flat surfaces where human contact will occur), baseboard moldings, beneath floor coverings and carpets, curtains, picture frames and behind them.

This product can only be used on domestic animals, not intended for commercial sale (cattle, horses, hogs, ponies). Domestic animals are beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, hogs, and ponies.

All outdoor applications must be used as crack and crevice treatment except to soil or vegetation next to structures and apply no higher than 3 ft. on outdoor building walls. Other than applications to building foundations, all outdoor applications to impervious surfaces such as sidewalk, driveways, patios, porches, windows, door, eaves are limited to spot and crack and crevice treatments.

Do not treat companion animals such as dogs, cats, puppies, or kittens with this product. You also cannot treat plastic, painted, or varnished surfaces or directly into any electronic equipment, in food areas of food handling establishments, serving areas where food is exposed or facility is in operation, dining rooms, in homes where food is exposed, in greenhouses where plants are grown for food, aircraft cabins, poultry, in hospital rooms when occupied, in any rooms occupied by the elderly or infirm, classrooms when in use, sewers, drains, gutter, and edible crops.

When to Use

Use Pystol Farm and Dairy Aerosol when insects are confirmed on healthy animals or suspected in treatment sites. Apply when treatment sites are not in operation, objects such as utensils are removed and covered, or the area is occupied by people or animals.

Spray this product on calm, warm days when rainfall and excessive wind is not predicted for 24 hours.

Safety Information

Pystol Farm and Dairy Aerosol is safe to use around children or pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or spraying this product.

Do not spray on sick animals nor ship animals meant for slaughter within 5 days of last application.

Do not apply this product in a way that will contact adults, children or pets, either directly or through drift.

Special Considerations

Pysol Farm and Dairy Aerosol cannot be applied to companion animals/pets such as dogs, cats, puppies, birds, puppies, or kittens.

Wash teats of animals before milking.
