Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide by Control Solutions is a microencapsulated insecticide solution that features the 3 active ingredients to produce a potent mixture to control a wide variety of tough-to-control pests. The actives Lambda-Cyhalothrin, Novaluron, and Pyriproxyfen have three different modes of action, which makes it more effective and longer-lasting than competing insecticide brands.

Proflex delivers CapVantage technology which protects the active ingredient from breaking down quickly and prevents skin irritation. Proflex is ideal for treating mosquitoes, cockroaches, fleas and ticks. Proflex's formula is simple to mix and apply with convenient rates and not only kills adult pests but breaks the life cycle. Use Proflex if you want an effective solution to addressing your pest infestation.

spraying Proflex

Tools Needed

To use Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide you will need either a hose end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.

How to Use

Mix and Spray

  • Step 1: Calculate the square footage of the area you will be treating to determine how much Proflex you will need. You can do this by multiplying the length times width of the treatment area (length x width = square footage). Depending on the target insect, Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide can be mixed from 1 to 2.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. So for example, if you wanted to treat a 2,500 sq. ft. treatment area, you will need to mix 2.5 fl. oz. of Proflex in 2.5 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with the required amount of water based on your calculations then add the appropriate measured amount of Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide. Fill the sprayer with the remaining half of water, close the top, and then agitate the sprayer to mix the solution well. You are now ready to spray.
  • Step 3: Apply the Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide mixture as a coarse, wet spray in the areas where you are having pest infestations. Use as a broadcast surface spray, crack & crevice treatment, or spot treatment. Repeat applications every 14 to 21 days as needed for continued control.

Where to Use

Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide can be used indoors and outdoors on lawns, ornamental trees and shrubs around residential, institutional, public, commercial, agricultural and industrial buildings; and parks, recreational areas and athletic fields. Indoors, apply as a coarse, low spray to all areas where these pests may hide paying attention to places such as beneath sinks, behind and beneath stoves and refrigerators, cracks and crevices, around garbage cans, cabinets, along the outside of baseboards, door and window sills, door and window frames and floors, around and on drains, pipes, plumbing, behind bookcases, storage and other utility installation areas, infested furniture and the inside of cabinets and closets.

When to Use

You will want to use Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide when pest activity is high. Depending on the pest you are treating, you will want to spray every 14 to 21 days for heavy infestations or 7 month intervals for prevention. Apply on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift.

Safety Information

Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Keep children and pets off the treated area until the product dries. Once dry, the product is clear and odorless and is safe. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.

Special Considerations

Proflex Encapsulated Insecticide is a microencapsulated product concentrate it can settle out once diluted in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up is used the same day. It is also necessary to constantly agitate the solution in a spray tank during treatment.
