Pramitol 5PS Industrial Weed Killer

Pramitol 5PS Industrial Weed Killer, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is an easy-to-use, non-selective pelleted weed killer that prevents weeds and grasses from growing for one year or more following application.

This product contains prometon 5%, sodium chlorate 39.8%, and sodium metaborate 40.78%, which completely removes most emerged annual and perennial weeds down to their roots.

Pramitol 5PS is a low-use, non-selective herbicide that stops all weeds from growing, even those that are not present. This results in season-long weed control. It starts working immediately when activated by water against all broadleaf and grassy weeds.

A handheld or push spreader is required to use this product.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Pramitol 5PS Industrial Weed Killer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). To get rid of annual broadleaf weeds and grasses, the application rate is between 0.35 and 0.46 pounds per 100 square feet. To get rid of most perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses, the application rate is between 0.70 and 0.80 pounds of product per 100 square feet. 
• Step 2: Pour the measured amount of Pramitol 5PS into your spreader. Calibrate your spreader to ensure even coverage. If you do not know your spreader setting, we recommend a medium calibration setting.
• Step 3: Be sure to apply before weeds emerge or when they are young and actively growing. Weeds over 4 inches must be mowed, removed, or hoed into the soil before application. When using your spreader, walk at a moderate speed in parallel lines from one end of the treatment area to the other. Leave between 3 and 5 feet between each pass for even coverage. Make parallel lines with your spreader until you have treated your entire area. Immediately water the treated area at least 0.25 inches to ensure it reaches the root system. Keep off the treated area until the surface is dry.

Where to Use

Apply Pramitol 5PS Industrial Weed Killer within industrial sites (including, but not limited to, cross-connects, pedestals, transformers, vaults, buried cable closures, telephone booths, and fire plugs), rights-of-way, lumberyards, petroleum tank farms, around farm buildings, along fence lines, and similar areas. 

Do not use for weed control in greenhouses or on land to be cropped.

When to Use

Use before weeds emerge or when they are young and actively growing.
