PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf
PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf is a fast-acting, selective herbicide that eliminates the toughest broadleaf weeds in warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turf.
04/10/26
PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf, manufactured by PBI Gordon, is an effective post-emergent herbicide that provides a quick knockdown against broadleaf weeds in residential lawns, commercial properties, athletic fields, and more.
It combines four powerful active ingredients to provide quick knockdown and systemic control of more than 90 different weed species. Unlike many herbicides that require a week or more for visible results, PowerZone works quickly, often showing weed wilting or discoloration within hours of application. This fast response is critical for high-visibility turf areas like golf courses or athletic fields where aesthetic quality matters.
PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf is a fast-acting, selective post-emergent herbicide that thrives in cool-season conditions and tackles a wide range of stubborn broadleaf weeds. The product becomes rainfast in as little as 3 hours, reducing the risk of losing efficacy due to unexpected weather.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld sprayer, backpack sprayer, knapsack sprayer, compression sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned turf, apply 1.5 to 1.8 fl. oz. of PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf with 0.1 to 4.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To treat warm-seasoned turf, use 1.1 to 1.5 fl. oz. of product with 0.4 to 4.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Add one-half the required amount of water to the spray tank, then add PowerZone slowly with agitation, and complete filling the tank with water. To prevent separation of the emulsion, mix thoroughly and continue agitation while spraying.
- Step 3: Adjust the sprayer nozzle to a coarse spray pattern then treat the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 24 hours after application.
Where to Use
PowerZone Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf can be used on cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf in institutional sites, ornamental sites, residential/domestic sites, commercial sod production, and non-cropland sites.
When to Use
Early post-emergent applications of PowerZone are recommended for annual, biennial, and perennial weeds. Apply to broadleaf weeds that are young and actively growing for the best results.
