Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is a specially formulated insect growth regulator concentrate that is effective on many tough pests including fleas and mosquitoes.

Formulated with powerful active ingredient Pyriproxyfen 10.00%, which delivers residual efficacy up to 7 months. Once applied, pests such as fleas and cockroaches will be unable to reproduce leading to lower rate of reinfestation.

Pivot 10 IGR is similar to Gentrol IGR and Precor IGR but is photo-stable and lasts longer. Simply dilute with water and spray in areas where pests are active to control the population via sterilizing adults and preventing larvae and eggs from developing.

Tools Needed

To use Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate, you will need either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, foam applicator, or professional skid sprayer for large volume applications. You will also need ULV/fogging systems for use as a ULV or space spray. For residential use, we recommend that you use either a 1-gallon handheld pump sprayer or a hose-end sprayer depending on the coverage area you are treating.

How to Use

Mixing Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate

  • Step 1: Determine how much Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate you will need by calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. You can do this by measuring (in feet) and multiplying the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Pivot 10 IGR application rates can vary from either 4mL, 8 mL, or 12mL in one gallon of water per 1,500 sq. ft. It is recommended to use a higher rate of 12 mL per 1,500 sq. ft. for established infestations. For example, if you calculated an area of 3,000 sq. ft., you would need to mix 24 mL of Pivot 10 in 2 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Fill a hand-pump sprayer halfway with water and then mix the appropriate amount of Pivot 10 IGR into the sprayer. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and agitate until the solution is well mixed.
  • Step 3: Apply a light mist of the product indoors around the carpeted area and wherever conditions could support insect populations. Use a fan spray pattern for best coverage. Outdoors, Pivot 10 may be applied as a general surface spray. Treat all known breeding sites thoroughly (building walls, porches, decks, patios, carports, garages, stagnant water, shady and moist areas, fence lines, and tall grasses.

Where to Use

Pivot 10 application indoors

Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate can be used for residential indoor/outdoor treatment, ULV/fogging or foaming in school and food handling applications. When to Use

Use Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate whenever you are dealing with an infestation of fleas, roaches, and certain beetles or as a preventative measure. Apply on calm, cool days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift and when rain is not in the immediate forecast.

Great Product
I mixed it with Reclaim IT to get rid of mosquitos in my yard that were such a nuisance when I was out working in the yard. It's been a month so far and I haven't experienced even a single mosquito since then. I now have some peace of mind when my children are playing in the yard.

Good stuff
After a few weeks I noticed a considerable difference in the insects that were able to reach adulthood. Then within a few more weeks I had them all under control. This is a great product to add to a well rounded IPM.

Great for Mosquitoes
I bought Pivot after buying some other spray at my local garden center and being disappointed with the result. This worked great to take care of the mosquito problem around my home. This is my go-to now for the summer time when mosquitoes are going crazy around these parts.

Questions and Answers

  1. Q:Should I use this with Pivot 10 and Permethrin SRF for indoor/outdoor treatment of fleas? Also, what is frequency of application?
    12/21/23
A:Since Permethrin SFR 36.8% and Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide are adulticides you would want to pick one of these to mix with Pivot 10 IGR to control fleas. Since it not clearly stated on the label how much igr to mix with it we recommend first treating with either of the adulticides you select then making a follow-up application with Pivot 10. Depending on where you want to treat its best to refer to page 5 on the Pivot 10 label, 41, 43 & 49 on Permethrin SFR label, and 16, 17, & 20 on Stryker Pyrethrin Insecticide to control fleas.
