Permethrin 1% Pour On, manufactured by Control Solutions, is a helpful tool in relieving cattle and sheep from biting flies and lice. The product can be used as a pour-on, mixed into a ready-to-use spray, or rubbed onto the backs of the animal.

One gallon will treat 25 head of (1,000 lb) cattle. Use it on lactating or non lactating dairy cattle, beef cattle, calves and sheep.

Tools Needed

You don't necessarily need any tools to use Permethrin 1% Pour-On as it can be directly poured onto the animal from the container.

How to Use

• Step 1: Pour the product down along the back line and down the animals face. Apply at a rate of 0.50 oz per 100 pounds of body weight of the animal up to a max of 5 fl ozs. For Keds on sheep, pour along back line over neck, shoulders and rump. Apply 0.25 fl. oz. per 50 lbs. body weight of animal, up to a maximum of 3 fl. ozs. for any one animal.
• Step 2: Repeat treatment as needed, but do not exceed 5 fl. ozs. during any 14 day interval. For optimum lice control, two treatments at a 14 day interval are recommended.

Where to Use

This product should only be used on cattle, calves, lambs or sheep that are being irritated by biting flies, lice or keds.

When to Use

This product is best for owners of livestock . Apply when there is an influx of biting flies that are making your cattle or sheep uncomfortable with their infestation.

Safety Information

The product is safe to use when applied according to label directions. You can optionally put on gloves when applying and pouring the product onto your treated animal.

Special Considerations

Permethrin 1% is not effective for grub control on cattle.
