Pentathlon LF Fungicide, manufactured by Sepro Technologies, is a broad-spectrum fungicide for the control of many plant and fungal diseases on warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turfgrasses within industrial and commercial lawns.

This suspended concentrate product contains a multi-mode of action to eliminate and prevent various plant diseases such as alternaria or algae.

Pentathlon LF Fungicide contains the effective active ingredient, Mancozeb, this has been a staple in superintendents and turf care professionals arsenal of fungicide tools for years.

Tools Needed

To apply Pentathlon LF Fungicide you will need either a backpack sprayer or a hand-pump sprayer or a spray rig for large treatment areas.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Pentathlon LF Fungicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in length then multiply (length X width = square footage). For flowers, foliage plants, and ornamentals use 0.8 to 1.6 quarts of Pentathlon LF Fungicide per 100 gallons of water per acre. For turfgrass applications, apply 5 to 7 oz. of product per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 12.8 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. or 4.35 gallons of product per acre per application. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and retreatment rates as this will vary with each site and plant species.
  • Step 2: In your selected sprayer, pour half the amount of water needed, add measured amount of Pentathlon LF Fungicide, then pour in the remanining half of water. Close the sprayer lid and agitate until well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of run-off. Reapply as need every 14 to 28 days until you no longer see a disease problem. It may take up to two months of diligent treatments to get rid of the disease totally, depending on the disease type.

Where to Use

Pentathlon LF Fungicide is meant to be used on cool-seasoned turfgrass and warm-seasoned turfgrass within golf courses, sod farms, golf course fairway, industrial and commercial lawns and ornamental plants.

Do not treat marigolds. Treated plants must not be used for food or feed purposes.

When To Use

It is best to start treatment with Pentathlon LF when weather conditions favor disease development. The sooner you use it the better as it can be used preventatively to stop disease before they occur.

Safety Information

Pentathlon LF Fungicide is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or spraying this product.

Special Considerations
