Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M)
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M)
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M), manufactured by ICL Specialty Fertilizer, is an effective standard release fertilizer that promotes bloomage and growth of a wide variety of sensitive crops within 5-6 months.
Features a moderately balanced 15-9-12 npk ratio combined with secondary and minor nutrients to enhance regrowth and keep foliage strong throughout the upcoming seasons with a standard watering program.
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M) encapsulates the nutrients in a special resin-coat made from plant resins to encourage safe and controlled growth of short-term perennials.
Tools Needed
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M) can be used with either a handheld spreader or push spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M) to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To find the cubic yard, measure the length, width, and depth of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together and then divide the total by 27 (length X width X depth = total / 27 = cubic yard). Depending on the plant container sizes and how many there are in the treatment area will vary in application rates so it would be best to refer to the product label. To treat 539 of 6" azalea / hibiscus (1.5 qt.), apply either 5, 8, or 12 grams of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M) per cubic yard. To treat large containers about 10 gallons with a 17 inch diameter, use 86, 157, or 228 grams of product per 1.4 sq. ft. For landscapes, apply 13.0 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the proper ratio as instructed in its product manual. Load the measured amount of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M).
- Step 3: Thoroughly blend the Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (5-6M) into the soil or apply it as a top-dressing to soil, but do not make contact with the plant stem or leaves. Water granules in after application.
