Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M)
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M), manufactured by ICL Specialty Fertilizers, is an effective controlled release fertilizer that provides all three major npk nutrients to greenhouse, nurseries, and landscapes early on in the foliage growth cycles.
Composed of 3rd generation homogeneous granules, which are coated in a special resin uniquely designed to deliver 15-9-12 npk nutrients when foliage is most in need for consistent growth and lush bloomage.
Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M) provides consistent fertilization for up to 3-4 months eliminating seasonal fertilization by professionals or homeowners. As a result, a wide variety of crops needs are met in a dependable manner without promoting overgrowth.
Tools Needed
You will need a handheld spreader or push spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M) to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To find the cubic yard, measure the length, width, and depth of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together and then divide the total by 27 (length X width X depth = total / 27 = cubic yard). Depending on the plant container sizes and how many there are in the treatment area will vary in application rates so it would be best to refer to the product label. For common container sizes such as 539 of 6 in. Aza/HB (1.5 qt.), apply either 3, 7, or 10 grams of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M) per cubic yard. To treat larger containers such as 10 gallons with 17 inch diameter, use either 47, 126, or 188 grams of product per 1.4 sq. ft. For landscape treatments, use 7.0 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the proper ratio as instructed in its product manual. Load the measured amount of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M).
- Step 3: Spread the Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (3-4M) evenly over the top soil surface or mix it thoroughly into the soil, but make sure the product is not against the plant stem. After application, lightly water the granules into the soil.
