Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M), manufactured by ICL Specialty Fertilizer, is an excellent controlled-release heterogeneous fertilizer that feeds outdoor plants with essential nutrients and a 12-6-6 npk blend.

These easy to apply granules have a polymer coated urea nitrogen, which consistently applies nutrients for 2-3 months resulting in a quick green-up of chlorotic plants.

Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) is an effective topdressing fertilizer that promotes a dark green color and rapid burst of energy for late fertilization treatments. As a result of this short energy release, treated foliage will not be promoted to grow long in out-of-season growth periods.

Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) will need to be applied with either a handheld spreader or push spreader.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To find the cubic yard, measure the length, width, and depth of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together and then divide the total by 27 (length X width X depth = total / 27 = cubic yard). Depending on the plant container sizes and how many there are in the treatment area will vary in application rates so it would be best to refer to the product label. To treat 300 of trade 1 gallon container sizes, apply either 5, 8, or 12 grams of Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) per cubic yard. For larger containers that have 10 gallons with 17" diameter of a surface area of 1.4 sq. ft., use either 55, 86, or 126 grams of product.
• Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the desired spreader rating as instructed on its manual. Load Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) into the spreader.
• Step 3: Spread the Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) as a topdress to soil until a thin layer is made. After application, water granules in with a light amount of irrigation.

When to Use

Osmocote Blend 12-6-6 (2-3M) should be used when plants are overwintered and during the early spring.
