Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a versatile broad-spectrum insecticide that is ideal for treating a wide range of insects.
This product contains the active ingredient thiamethoxam and is a non-repellent, liquid insecticide that can affect insects by both contact and ingestion and can be used both indoors and out. Those insects will be dead before they know what hit them.
Use it as a perimeter spray, a crack and crevice treatment or spot treatment and you are sure to get satisfying results.
Tools needed
To treat large areas with Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide , a backpack sprayer, a hose end sprayer, or a spray rig is recommended. To apply to smaller areas or as a crack and crevice treatment, a pump sprayer is needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Measure the square footage you will be treating.
- Step 2: Determine your targeted pest to help you decide how you will apply the product, how much you need to apply and where you need to apply it.
- Step 3. Measure out the amount of Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide you will need and put it in a pump sprayer, foam sprayer machine or use it as a termite trench treatment. The typical rate is 0.27 - 5.41 oz. per 1 - 10 gallons of water but varies depending on the treatment method and target pest.
- Step 4: After the product has been applied, keep people and pets out of the treated area(s) until dry.
Where to Use
Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide can be used indoors and outdoors in and around many different surface areas depending on the type of insect the product is being used on. For treating roaches and other insects, it can be sprayed on flooring and baseboards. For treating insects found outdoors, it can be sprayed around the perimeter on the lawn, bushes and in flower beds, as a broadcast spray, or be used for spot and crack and crevice treatments.
When to Use
Use Optigard Flex Liquid Insecticide when you have a growing insect infestation inside or outside the home. Optigard flex has a residual of at least 90 days indoors, however if you have a current infestation you are trying to eliminate you can respray after 30 days if needed.
