Novacide Flea & Tick Killer
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is a ready-to-use aerosol insecticide that readily sprays and kills roaches, moths, and other insects. This effective roach, flea, and other pests killer is also a synthetic pyrethroid that includes pyriproxyfen, an insect growth regulator (IGR). IGRs prevents adult fleas and other adult insects from laying eggs and stops young insects from growing into adults.
It is 100% guaranteed to kill fleas, ticks and other targeted pests when used as part of a comprehensive control plan. Novacide Flea & Tick Killer leaves a residual, providing continued control for up to 7 months against fleas in carpet and pests in other labeled indoor areas.
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer comes in an easy-to-use aerosol can that allows the spray to come out in a fan shape. This helps to cover a lot of surface area in a short amount of time. If you have fleas, ticks, spiders, roaches, ants and other pests inside your home or other indoor areas, Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is a safe and great product to have readily available for both remedial and preventative control.
Tools Needed
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer comes pre-mixed in an aerosol can and requires no additional tools to use. You will need to be sure to have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, a safety mask, protective eyewear, and long-sleeved clothing.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Novacide Flea & Tick Killer you need by measuring the square footage of the area you wish to treat. An 18 ounce can of Novacide will cover 2,300 square feet. An area of 100 square feet can be treated by spraying across the area for 10 seconds.
- Step 2: Before you apply Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, clean and vacuum your intended treatment areas. This will capture any pests wandering around, like adult fleas in carpet or larval pantry pests on shelves. But most importantly, it will stimulate any flea pupae (flea cocoons) as flea pupal stages are attracted to heat and vibrations. Vacuuming will cause them to emerge early and be susceptible to the Novacide. Don't forget to clean your vacuum after use.
- Step 3: To apply Novacide Flea & Tick Killer, shake the can well before use, hold it at arms length, and then spray the product to carpets, floors, furniture, pet bedding, and other surfaces where labeled pests can be found. The product will be applied parallel to the cans orientation, so to apply downwards, hold the can upside down, pointing the top where you want to apply. Use a sweeping motion, and back away while holding the can at a downward position about 36 inches from the area being treated. To treat pantry shelves, create a barrier along where the shelves meet the wall by applying 1-2 inch spots of product 1-2 inches apart.
- Step 4: Continue to vacuum, keep areas sanitized and spray Novacide Flea & Tick Killer for every 10 to 21 days (depending upon the life cycle of the insect infestation) to ensure eggs and larvae do not continue to hatch and grow. Do not allow people or pets into the treatment area until the product dried completely.
Where to Use
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is labeled to be used indoors in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Apply this product to control pests in homes, apartments, hotels, motels, warehouses, veterinary clinics, kennels, and in transportation equipment like ships and trucks.
This product can be sprayed on most floor surfaces like carpet and tile, and it can be applied to baseboards, upholstered furniture, or pet bedding.
Do not use Novacide Flea & Tick Killer near food, food prep areas and food serving areas, such as restaurants and kitchens.
When to Use
Apply Novacide Flea & Tick Killer when your home or building is encountering an infestation of fleas, roaches, ticks or other labeled pests. This product also provides a 7-month residual effect and can be used as part of a preventative program. We recommend applying Novacide Flea & Tick Killer twice a year for year-round protection.

Labeled pests that make contact with the spray or its residual will die within several hours, while immature pests will be affected by the products IGR, which will stunt their growth and prevent them from becoming into reproductive results.
Novacide Flea & Tick Killer is an insecticide aerosol that will treat a variety of pests as well as bust their lifecycles thanks to the built-in IGR. Q:Is there any alternatives to the Novacide? Because I live in California and I can’t get them.5/31/23A:Unfortunately, not many insecticides/herbicides/pesticides can be shipped to California. Each states department of agriculture regulates the use of certain chemicals within products, which may not be approved of in certain states like California. It would be best to check local stores in your area as those products are approved to be used in your state.
