Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide, manufactured by Nitro-Phos, is a broad-spectrum granular turf fungicide that can be used to prevent and cure a wide variety of common lawn diseases of established turfgrass.

This unique granular fungicide contains the active ingredient Myclobutanil 0.39%, and comes in granule form which is great for applicators that want to provide effective disease control without using a liquid fungicide or when weather conditions prevent spraying.

Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide is effective granular fungicide that systemically protects established lawns for up to 28 days against diseases such as brown patch or leaf spot.

Tools Needed

To use Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide you will need either a push spreader or hand spreader.

How to Use

Spreading Eagle 0.39G Specialty Fungicide Granules

  • Step 1: Determine how much Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Applications to non-residential turfgrasses, will use between 4 to 8 lbs. of Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide per 1,000 sq. ft. Residential turfgrasses will need 4 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 46 lbs. product per 1000 sq. ft. per year.
  • Step 2: Load the proper amount of Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide to a spreader of your choosing. Use rate varies depending on the disease being treated so it would be best to refer to the product label.
  • Step 3: Once your spreader is properly calibrated, push your spreader along the turf making sure to get an even spread. You may need to do two passes around the treated area perpendicularly to get complete even coverage.
  • Step 4: Reapply as needed every 14 to 28 days depending on the disease and it's severity or for continued disease control. To avoid pick-up, lightly irrigate treated areas soon after application.

Where to Use

Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide can be used on residential and commercial lawns, ornamental turfgrass, grounds or lawns around business and office complexes, golf courses (fairways, roughs, tees, greens) and sod farms

When to Use

Use Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide upon first seeing a fungus or disease on your plants or as a preventative measure against disease during the growing season.

  1. Q:I have had a terrible time with fungus affecting my shrubs. Can Nitro-phos fungicide be used in flower beds to prevent fungus?
    10/20/23
A:Eagle 0.39G Specialty Turf Fungicide - Myclobutanil cannot be used in flower beds. For general fungus control, we recommend using Patch Pro Fungicide which can be used on ornamentals and other landscape and nursery plantings. Refer to page 21-24 of the product label to see if your shrub is listed for ornamentals to be treated. https://www.solutionsstores.com/patch-pro-fungicide

  3. Q:Nitro-Phos 8lb bag of Eagle Fungicide front label states treats up to 6,250 sqft which is misleading when reviewing the back label. To cover 6,250 sqft, you would need to broadcast at a rate of 1.28 lb / ksqft which is not listed as a recommended rate. I could not see bag weight listed on physical bag, could be hiding somewhere, but Nitro-Phos website states it’s 8 lbs. The back label specifies the lowest application rate is 4 lb / ksqft, which I use. This means an 8 lb bag can only cover 2,000 sqft. This matches with the Nitro-Phos website. I want to double check 4lb / ksqft is the lowest effective rate for preventative treatments?
    4/4/22
A:The lowest application rate is 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. The only exception is when treating specifically for dollar spot at 3 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.

    10/21/21
A:If the application conditions and instructions are not as followed as according to the product label then plant injury, lack of performance, or other unintended consequences may result because of such factors as use of the product contrary to label instructions (including conditions noted on the label, such as unfavorable temperature, soil conditions, etc.), abnormal conditions (such as excessive rainfall, drought, tornadoes, hurricanes), presence of other materials, the manner of application, or other factors, all of which are beyond the control of the Seller.
