Nisus Mold-Clean
Nisus Mold-Clean
Nisus Mold-Clean, manufactured by Nisus Corp, is a non-fungicidal wood cleaner and surface conditioner that removes existing stains on wood surfaces and cleans and brightens weathered wood.
It is a ready to use product that is pleasantly scented, containing sodium hypochlorite and detergents to clean with minimal scrubbing. Mold-Clean is not corrosive to metal fixtures and fittings.
Tools Needed
You will need a 1 Gallon Sprayer, handheld or backpack sprayer, with low pressure sprayer tip to apply Mold-Clean evenly.
How to Use
Step 1: Mold-Clean is ready to use, so no mixing is required. Apply to wood liberally to the point of runoff using a low pressure (15-20 psi) sprayer at a rate of 150-200 square feet per gallon.
Step 2: Leave surface wet for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse with water using a high pressure stream.
Step 4: (optional but recommended) Apply BoraCare Mold Care after wood has thoroughly dried.
Where to Use
Apply directly to wood that has been discolored or stained by mold. No need to remove the wood from it's current location, any effected insulation in the area may need to be replaced to ensure all mold is removed.
Safety Information
Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying. Do not mix with other chemicals.
Special Considerations
Do not allow product to dry on surfaces. Apply additional product or a light mist of water to keep surfaces wet for 5-10 minutes to maximize cleaning. Allow surface to thoroughly dry before application of a fungicide, such as Nisus BoraCare Mold Care.
