Tools Needed

It may be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or backpack sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Turf Booster 18-2-2 Plus Iron Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 4 fl. oz. (8 Tbsp.) of Monterey Turf Booster 18-2-2 Plus Iron Fertilizer in one gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. of turf. 
• Step 2: If you are using a hose-end sprayer, the concentrate will automatically mix with water as you spray. Check the hose-end sprayer’s manual instructions to ensure proper calibration. For a more controlled application, you can use a tank sprayer. Pour half the amount of water into the tank and add the measured amount of product. Next, pour in the remaining half of water and shake until the solution is evenly mixed. 
• Step 3: Once the product is mixed, it is time to apply it to your turf. Walk steadily across the lawn, making sure to cover the entire area evenly. Be careful not to over-apply more than the recommended rate, which can lead to plant burn. Do not water for at least 24 hours to avoid washing off fertilizer. This allows the uptake of nutrients into the leaf.

Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. 

When to Use

Apply in the early morning or late evening when the turf is actively growing. 

Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
