Monterey Take Down Garden Spray can be applied with a hand-held trigger sprayer, handheld sprayer, or a backpack sprayers.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Take Down Garden Spray to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply this product at a rate of 1% or 2% solution. For a 1% solution, mix 2 teaspoons of Monterey Take Down Garden Spray with 1 quart of water, or 1 fl. oz. of product with 3 quarts of water. For a 2% solution, mix 4 teaspoons of product with 1 quart of water, or 2 fl. oz. of product with 3 quarts water. Do not apply more than 4 fl. oz. of product (400 fl. oz. of 1% solution or 200 fl. oz. of 2% solution) per 1,000 sq. ft. for home gardens. Do not apply more than 4 fl. oz. of product (400 fl. oz. of 1% solution or 200 fl. oz. of 2% solution) per 1,000 sq. ft. for greenhouse use.
- Step 2: To mix for sprayers, you will need to pour in half the amount of water then add the proper amount of Monterey Take Down Garden Spray. Next, pour in the remaining half of water and shake well until mixed. For trigger sprayers, you will need to mix separately in a mixing container.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves until wet with Monterey Take Down Garden Spray, but not to the point of runoff. Repeat treatment in 1-2 weeks if needed. Do not reapply within 3 days except under extreme pest pressure. In case of extreme pest pressure do not reapply within 24 hours.

Monterey Take Down Garden Spray can be used outdoors on fruit and nut trees (apples, cherries, peaches, pears, nuts); flowering, foliage plants; corn; melons; tomatoes; vegetables (beans, cabbage, cucurbits, peas, potatoes); figs; small fruits (grapes, strawberry, raspberry); citrus; ornamental and shade trees (birch, evergreens, holly, oak) and herbs.
It may also be used in home greenhouses on flowering, foliage plants; melons; tomatoes; vegetables (beans, cabbage, cucurbits, peas, potatoes); small fruits (grapes, strawberry, raspberry).
For use indoors on houseplants as well.
When to Use
Apply Monterey Take Down Garden Spray in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours.
Do not use this product when temperatures are above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Safety Information
Monterey Take Down Garden Spray is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums before spraying.
Do not allow adults, children or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems.
Oil removes the glaucous (blue) bloom from such evergreens as Colorado blue spruce and Koster spruce. Use a 1% solution on oil sensitive plants such as: Chamaecyparis, Cryptomeria, Japanese Holly, Red Cedar and Smoke Tree. Use care on blooms and buds.
Some plants are sensitive to this product. If in doubt, test-spray a small portion of the plant and wait several days to determine if burn occurs before spraying larger areas.
