Monterey Mark-It Blue

Monterey Mark-It Blue, manufactured by Monterey, is an easy-to-use spray indicator spray dye colorant that ensures uniform spray coverage of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other pesticides, resulting in reduced waste and overspray. 

The primary purpose of this dye is to aid professionals and do-it-yourselfers by marking areas that have been treated with liquid pesticides. This allows the applicators to see where they applied the product and where to spray next. Once the area is treated, the dye will eventually fade away in a couple of days. 

Monterey Mark-It Blue is a vibrant blue dye that ensures visual confirmation of treated areas leading to a consistent, even distribution of the applied product.

Tools Needed

You will need a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer to apply this product. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Before mixing Monterey Mark-It Blue with your pesticide solution, determine the area you plan to treat. Use 1 fl. oz. of Monterey Mark-It Blue per gallon of spray solution. More or less may be used, depending on turf or weed color, height and local water conditions.
• Step 2: During the mixing process of your select pesticide solution, stop halfway between mixing. When the tank is half-full add the dye in. 
• Step 3: Ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed with this product. Apply it to the designated area as instructed on your pesticide label. As you spray, you will notice the blue color marking the areas that have been treated.

Where to Use

Monterey Mark-It Blue can be used with liquid pesticides on golf courses, parks, cemeteries, athletic fields, and any turf or grass areas — virtually anywhere where spray evidence is needed. 

When to Use

Use this dye whenever you need to minimize spray overlaps and ensure uniform application.
