Monterey Horticultural Oil RST, manufactured by Monterey, is a effective natural insecticide for managing troublesome pests in residential ornamentals, hobby greenhouses, and vegetables.
This convenient ready to spray mineral oil based solution maintains a clean environment by naturally suffocating insects at time of application or those that become trapped in the area once dried. With this non-toxic form of control, treated foliage can easily be harvested the same day as its applied.

Tools Needed
To use Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS, you will need to connect it to a garden water hose.
How to Use
- Step 1: Shake the Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS well then attach it to a water hose.
- Step 2: Turn on the water and adjust the spray nozzle to the desired setting. Bend small plastic tab back and turn knob clockwise to "ON" position.
- Step 3: Begin spraying, ensuring thorough coverage of both the upper and lower leaf surfaces, stems, and buds. To stop spraying simply turn the knob to "OFF" position.
Where to Use
Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS can be used on residential fruits & vegetables (through harvest day), flowers, ornamentals, trees, and shrubs.
Do not use on Coconut Palms or Maidenhair Fern.
When to Use
Use Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS in the early evening and early morning when plants are not suffering from drought (moisture stress) nor when prolonged high temperature combined with high relative humidity are present.
Do not make applications when rainfall is expected for the next 24 hours after application.
Do not spray when buds are fully open and elongation is occurring for shade trees, shrubs, ornamentals, flower and foliage plants, and conifers.
Safety Information
Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Use caution on open blooms – bleaching and spotting have been observed on the open bloom of certain plants with Monterey Horticultural Oil RTS.
Chrysanthemum and Geranium Blooms have shown phytotoxicity at high rates.
