09/22/25
Monterey Bug Buster ll, manufactured by Monterey, is a versatile insecticide concentrate that offers a quick knockdown on a broad-spectrum of pests in residential lawns, ornamental plants, and vegetables.
This synthetic pyrethroid is formulated with the active ingredient Esfenvalerate 00.425%, which reduces pest populations such as armyworms, leafhoppers, and flea beetles within 7 days.
Monterey Bug Buster ll effectively targets and kills common ornamental, vegetable, and turf pests while providing a fast knockdown of these insects upon contact.
Tools Needed
Monterey Bug Buster ll can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Monterey Bug Buster ll to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). General applications will use 1 fl. oz. of Monterey per gallon of water. For lawns, you may use 1 fl. oz. of product with 1 gallon of water to treat 500 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Monterey Bug Buster ll, then pour in the remaining half of water. Shake the solution well until dissolved in water before spraying.
- Step 3: Spray plant to wet the upper and lower leaf surfaces until dripping. Treat entire lawn. Also spray under trees and shrubs. Apply as necessary to maintain control waiting at least 7 days between each application.
Where to Use
Monterey Bug Buster ll can be used outdoors on ornamental plants, vegetables and melons, berries, fruit and nut trees, and on lawns.
It may also be used on outdoor surfaces of buildings, porches, patios, garages and other areas where these insects have been seen or are found.
