Mole Scram Professional
Mole Scram Professional is a natural, granular mole repellent. It can control moles invading your lawn and prevent moles from returning for year-round control.
11/01/25
Mole Scram Professional, manufactured by Epic Repellents, is an easy-to-use granular repellent made with all-natural ingredients for controlling moles that trespass on property.
Instead of using traps that generally harm animals or might kill moles, use Mole Scram Professional. This mole repellent has a unique dual-action formula that moles dislike by taste and smell. After the application of Mole Scram, the mole repellent will safely leach into the soil, coating worms and insects (a mole's primary food source) and giving them a bad taste. It also leaves mole tunnels and the surrounding soil with a strong odor that moles dislike but is hardly noticeable to humans. This sudden change to the mole's environment will cause them to leave.
Mole Scram Professional is all-natural and contains a blend of castor oil and other essential oils. Mole Scram is non-toxic, environmentally safe and will not wash away in rainfall. Lastly, Mole Scram is easy to use and can effectively rid an area of moles and prevent them from returning.
Tools Needed
You will need to either wear gloves and spread Mole Scram by hand, sprinkle by using the scoop provided, or use a broadcast spreader to spread the granules in mole activity areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect and observe the areas where moles have been active and calculate the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure and multiply the length and width of the selected area (length x width = square footage). Be sure to measure an area that extends 30 feet beyond the infested area.
- Step 2: Load and apply Mole Scram using a push or rotary spreader to the target areas where you have noted mole activity and damage at a rate of 1 pound per 750 square feet. Cover the area where mole damage has been observed and extend the cover to at least 30 feet around and beyond the damaged area. We recommend covering the entire area for lawn and garden areas of 5,000 or fewer square feet. You will also need to activate the Mole Scram by watering them for at least 20 minutes. This initial application will rapidly drive moles out of the area.
- Step 3: A second application of Mole Scram Professional will be necessary 14 days later over the same area, including the 30-foot extended area. Water in again like last time. This second application of Mole Scram will ensure that the moles do not return for up to 45 days.
- Step 4: Repeat applications of Mole Scram every 30 to 45 days to ensure no further mole activity.
Where to Use
Mole Scram Professional can be used to protect lawns, golf courses, and ground covers where moles create extensive runway and tunnel systems. You can also spread Mole Scram Professional in wooded landscaped areas, plants, and bulb gardens. Mole Scram Pro can be applied to areas with mole activity, plus an additional 30-foot radius, for the most effective results.
When to Use
Use Mole Scram when you notice mole activity, such as seeing a mole or noticing its damage and tunnel burrowing. Moles are most active during wet seasons when worm activity near the ground surface is most significant. In southern regions, use preventative applications in early fall and early spring and in mid-winter.
Safety Information
Mole Scram Professional is safe to use around kids and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this mole repellent.
Special Considerations
Keep in mind that after applying Mole Scram, mole activity will seem to increase for a day or two, which is normal. Moles dislike the Mole Scram Professional, will become immediately affected by it, and will try to dig their way out of the treatment area rapidly.

| Product Drawbacks | Mole activity will increase for a couple days after the initial application as the moles begin to tunnel out of the treatment area rapidly. |
