Mistaway Float Switch GEN II
The Mistaway Float Switch GEN II (Product #:10936) is an specialty part manufactured by MistAway and is used to replace a faulty float switch on a Gen 2 Misting System. The part is used to shut the unit off when the tank empties. Usually a buildup of residue on the float hinders it's movement which causes the switch to not function properly. If this is the case, you may just need to clean the switch. Otherwise, a full replacement is needed. If your system's float switch is malfunctioning, this is what is needed to get it back up and running properly.
Tools Needed
To install the Mistaway Float Switch GEN II, you will need a crescent wrench and paper towels to blot insecticide.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the MistAway Instruction manual, disassemble the controller and shroud until you get to the float switch.
- Step 2: Remove the float switch from the wiring harness and examine. Clean any residue or if fully replacing, remove and replace the new float switch to the wiring harness and secure the switch to the bracket using the crescent wrench.
- Step 3: Once secure, run a couple of remote or manual mists to ensure unit is functioning properly.
Where to Use
The float switch is mounted to a bracket over the back left corner of the batch tank. Remove the old switch and replace with a new one her.
When to Use
Replace the old failing float switch with the new float switch when your misting system is not properly indicating the level of fluid in the tank.
