Medallion SC Fungicide
Madallion SC Fungicide is a powerful, broad-spectrum fungicide that delivers control over a wide range of foliar, stem, and root diseases in various turf sites.
04/14/26
Medallion SC Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is an advanced contact fungicide that mixes easily and quickly for key turf diseases within residential, commercial, and institutional turf settings.
It contains fludioxonil, which provides long-lasting protection by inhibiting fungal spore germination and mycelial growth, making it highly effective against a range of plant diseases. Medallion SC Fungicide is particularly effective on tough-to-treat pathogens like Rhizoctonia, and Fusarium.
With its long residual control, broad disease spectrum, and low use rates, Medallion SC Fungicide is one of the best preventive fungicides for professionals who demand results. Once applied, this fungicide's contact activity triggers fungal spores to rapidly absorb water until they explode, ensuring the pathogens do not have enough time to grow and infest the foliage.
Tools Needed
You can use ground equipment, a backpack sprayer, a handheld pump sprayer, or a hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Medallion SC Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the disease, apply 0.75 to 2.0 fl. oz. of Medallion SC Fungicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than 6 fluid ounces of fludioxonil per 1,000 sq. ft. per year on turfgrass. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Add 1/3 of the required amount of water to the spray or mixing tank. With the agitator running, add the required amount of Medallion SC into the tank. Continue agitation while adding the remainder of the water. Then, add the desired amount of other products recommended for the tank mixture and allow them to become completely dispersed. Continue agitation to maintain a uniform suspension until all of the spray solution has been applied.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of turf leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For control of foliar diseases, allow the sprayed area to completely dry before irrigation. A second application can be made 14 days later.
Where to Use
Medallion SC Fungicide can be used on turfgrass in golf courses, institutional, commercial, and residential lawns, sod farms, sports fields, parks, municipal grounds, and cemeteries.
When to Use
Make applications before the disease is present on days when rainfall is not expected to occur within the next 48 hours after application.
