The Mantis 2x2 by PestWest USA is a professional quality fly light trap designed specifically to lure flies and other flying insects. The Mantis 2x2 is fitted with 60-watt UV bulbs that are shatter-resistant. The double-sided system is lightweight, making it safe to suspend onto a ceiling via link chain or cable. It is ideal for use in food preparation and other areas with significant fly activity. Glue boards can be easily replaced with no tools required.
Tools Needed
The Mantis 2x2 comes ready to use right out of the box and requires no tools for setup or for replacing bulbs and glue boards. You will need to use a link chain or cable to suspend it onto a ceiling though.
How to Use
- Step 1: Suspend the Mantis 2x2 unit up on the ceiling around the desired area where you want to control flies. There is really no standard method to fly light positioning but they do need to be positioned in a way that draws flies away from the sensitive areas where there is food or people.
- Step 2: Plug the Mantis 2x2 into an electrical outlet and it is ready to lure. Flies will be attracted to the light and be lured right to the glue boards when they pass the front grill on either side.
- Step 3: Dispose of the glue boards when they become full of flies and replace them with a fresh new glue board. You can also easily replace the light bulbs when they go out.
Where to Use
The Mantis 2x2 is ideal for food preparation areas and a variety of other sensitive areas where flies need to be controlled. These can be in kitchens, inside restaurants, outdoors on a patio and other settings where flies are a problem.
When to Use
Use the Mantis 2x2 when you are encountering flies in food prep and waste disposal areas which can practically be any time of the year.

Special Considerations
Glue boards should be replaced at least every 90 days and bulbs replaced at least every 9 months.
