Lexicon Intrinsic Brand Fungicide, manufactured by Basf, is a high-performance fungicide that provides both preventative and curative control of major lawn diseases. The combination of fluxapyroxad and pyraclostrobin offers two distinct modes of action. Fluxapyroxad inhibits fungal respiration by targeting the succinate dehydrogenase enzyme. Pyraclostrobin disrupts mitochondrial respiration in fungi, preventing energy production. This dual-action approach enhances efficacy and aids in resistance management in turf.

Tools Needed

A hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig can be used. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Lexicon Intrinsic Brand Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply 0.34 to 0.47 fl. oz. of Lexicon Intrinsic Brand Fungicide per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage applications, use 15 to 21 fl. oz. of product per 87 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed. 
• Step 3: Spray evenly throughout the treated area until the top and bottom of the leaves are sprayed. Be sure to not spray to the point of runoff. Irrigate immediately following application. Make 2 applications, 14 to 28 days apart.

Where to Use

Lexicon Intrinsic Brand Fungicide can be used in the following turfgrass sites: golf courses, residential lawns, institutional lawns, commercial lawns, municipal lawns, parks, recreational areas, sports fields, athletic fields, cemeteries, and sod farms.

When to Use

Apply before the disease appears or when it's during its early stages on days when rainfall is not forecasted to occur within the next 48 hours.

Safety Information

Lexicon Intrinsic Brand Fungicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the spray has dried.

Special Considerations

Use of an organosilicate-based adjuvants with this product may cause turfgrass injury.
