Tools Needed
You will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer. You could even use a paintbrush to apply on certain surfaces.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Lambda 9.7 CS to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To find the square footage, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To treat pests in lawns, turfgrass, and ornamentals, use 3-5 fl. oz. of Lambda 9.7 CS per 100 gallons of water or 3.4-7.0 ml of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For spot treatments, apply 0.50 fl. oz. of this product per 1-2.5 gallons of water. For perimeter applications, use 0.8 fl. oz. of product per 1-5 gallons of water per 800-1600 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Shake the sprayer until well mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the product according to labeled directions in the areas where you are having pest infestations. Apply a band 10 feet wide around the perimeter and up to 3 feet high on a foundation. Use all around structures and in cracks and crevices where bugs may harbor.
Where to Use
Lambda 9.7 CS can be used inside place such as homes, offices, and other man-made structures. It also is safe and effective to use outdoors on places like turf and livestock sites. Apply a band 10 feet wide around the perimeter and up to 3 feet high on a foundation and around windows, doors, and roof overhangs. Indoors you can apply as a coarse, low pressure spray to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics, eaves and behind appliances.
When to Use
You will want to use this product when pest activity is high. For most areas of the country, this is between March and October. You will want to spray every 30-90 days depending on rain and pest pressure.
Safety Information
Lambda 9.7 CS is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not apply to pasture or cropland, and do not allow animals and people access to treated areas until the deposit has dried.
Special Considerations
While phytotoxicity testing has been carried out on various ornamental plants under various environmental conditions, and no phytotoxicity has been observed, specific cultivars may be sensitive to the final spray solution.
It is advised to pre-spray a selection of ornamental plants and observe them for 7-10 days prior to treating large areas if local use experience is unavailable.
