Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide
Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide is an effective pre- and post-emergent herbicide that's valued for its precision control over tough grassy and broadleaf weeds in turf and ornamental settings.
04/12/26
Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a precision-crafted herbicide that delivers reliable control against persistent weeds and ensures a clean, uniform turf and ornamental appearance.
This selective, systemic herbicide targets both pre-emergent and early post-emergent weeds, especially during cooler seasons. Its active ingredient, pronamide 35.6%, is a powerful soil-active herbicide that disrupts cell division and root growth in susceptible weeds, offering season-long control of a broad spectrum of winter annual and perennial grasses and some broadleaf weeds.
Kerb SC T&O Speciality Herbicide gives excellent pre-emergent and post-emergent control over a broad-spectrum of troublesome weeds in warm-seasoned, non-residential turf and ornamentals. This herbicide's mode of action works in the soil, where it remains active for weeks, depending on temperature and soil type. Applicators get season-long control with one well-timed application.
Tools Needed
You can use a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). A general pre- and post-emergent application will use 1.25 to 2.5 pints of Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide in 20 to 50 gallons of water per acre. In nursery and landscape applications, apply 2.5 to 5 pints of product in 20 to 50 gallons of water per acre. Apply no more than 3.5 pints of product per acre per application for turfgrass. Make no more than 3 applications of this product per year for turf. On golf course greens do not exceed 2.5 pints per acre per application. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour the remaining half of the water into the tank. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage over the treatment area to prevent weeds from appearing. For present weeds, spray the top and bottom of its leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. After 24 hours from the application, irrigate the treated area with 0.25 to 0.5 inches of water. Avoid heavy irrigations of more than 1 inch.
Where to Use
Kerb SC T&O Specialty Herbicide can be used on turf grown for sod, nonresidential sites, golf courses, industrial and office building sites, stadium fields or professional athletic fields; woody ornamentals, ornamental nursery stock, and Christmas trees.
Warm season grasses that can tolerate this product include bermudagrass, Seashore paspalum, Zoysiagrass, St. Augustinegrass, and Centipedegrass.
Avoid spraying on fairways, hillsides, or approaches that may drain onto bentgrass greens or to areas overseeded with sensitive cool season grasses.
Do not apply to desirable dichondra, perennial bluegrass, annual and perennial ryegrasses, fescues, and bentgrasses.
When to Use
Make applications on days when temperatures are above 55 degrees Fahrenheit and when the treatment surface area is free of litter (dead or decaying weed debris, mowing clippings, etc.).
If Kerb SC T&O is applied when air temperatures exceed 85 degrees Fahrenheit or soil temperatures exceed 55 degrees Fahrenheit the product must be soil incorporated or watered into the soil within 24 hours.
Do not apply to areas that are to be overseeded with susceptible cool season grasses within 90 days of treatment unless deactivation is planned.
Safety Information

Special Considerations
Do not make an application of a wetting agent for the purpose of frost protection or soil penetration to greens or tees 14 days prior to or after a Kerb SC T&O application as injury may result.
Where it is desirable to reseed sooner than 90 days following the application of this product, an application of an activated charcoal such as Gro-Safe, is needed. Allow at least 14 days between the application of Kerb SC T&O and the application of charcoal for the control of weeds. Reseed no sooner than 7 days following charcoal application.
