Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10, manufactured by VPG, is a unique fertilizer and post-emergent granular blend that controls a broad-spectrum of existing weeds and helps to thicken warm-seasoned and cool-seasoned turf.

This advanced slow-release product harnesses the power of mecoprop-p, 2,4-D, dicamba, and trimec, which work together as a selective systemic herbicide that kills broadleaf weeds like poison ivy, poison oak, dandelion, and more without harming turf. Each ingredient targets weeds differently, so together they deliver a stronger, more complete kill all the way to the roots.

Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10 is a high-quality fertilizer and post-emergent herbicide blend that greens up lawns, strengthens turf and improves resilience, and eliminates 200 types of emerged broadleaf weeds. Once weeds die back, your strengthened turf fills in more aggressively, helping naturally suppress future weed growth.

Tools Needed

This product can be applied with a drop or broadcast (rotary) spreader.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Mow the lawn to normal height 1 to 2 days before application. Water the lawn thoroughly at least 1 day before application to sustain moisture until the next watering. Determine how much Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10 to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply 3.6 lbs. of Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10 per 1,000 sq. ft. The maximum number of broadcast applications is limited to 2 per year with a minimum of 30 days between applications.
  • Step 2: Set the calibration rate on your spreader as suggested on the label or according to your spreader's manual. Then fill the spreader with the proper amount of granules.
  • Step 3: A more uniform application can be achieved by applying half the product in one direction across the lawn, then spreading the other half at a right angle to that first pass, creating an even cross-hatch pattern. Do not wash from weed leaves for 1 to 2 days after application. After this time, a thorough watering should be made. A second application may be made in 30 days.

Where to Use

Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10 can be used in St. Augustinegrass, Centipedegrass, Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Zoysiagrass, Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Fescue spp., and Bentgrass lawns.

Do not use on dichondra.

When to Use

Apply when weeds are young and actively growing, preferably in the morning when dew is on the grass.

If the grass is not moist at the time of application, sprinkle lightly with water to allow the granules to adhere and to remain on the leaf surface of the weeds.

Safety Information

Hi-Yield Weed & Feed 15-0-10 is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
