Hi-Yield Snake Repellent
Hi-Yield Snake Repellent
Hi-Yield Snake Repellent, manufactured by VPG, is a granular snake repellent that uses a powerful, natural blend of ingredients such as cedar oil 3.1% and cinnamon oil 0.6% which works to irritate the snake when they smell or touch the product.
This formulation is biodegrable and will not harm the snake or your lawn, flowerbeds, or other desired plants.
Hi-Yield Snake Repellent does not provide an immediate removal of snakes, but after a few enounters the snake will avoid the application site.
Tools Needed
There are no tools required for Hi-Yield Snake Repellent as you can conveniently shake the granules from the container. You may use a hand spreader to spread the product more evenly. Either method is recommended, but you will need to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves.
How to Use
- Step 1: Manage overgrown brush, hedges, grass heights and remove compost piles away from your home and other buildings on your property. Eliminate leaf and rock piles from your yard prior to application.
- Step 2: Determine areas where snakes have been active whether it is indoor or outdoors. Carefully inspect your homes foundations and fill any cracks/crevices that would allow a snake to enter. Seal small gaps under doors, decks, fences, etc. For hand spreader applications, load the appropriate amount of product into the top of the spreader and stand near treatment area. Lightly sprinkle Hi-Yield Snake Repellent in a band 6 to 8 inches wide next to and around the area you wish to protect. Do not water the granules after application.
- Step 3: If no snakes have been observed within 2 weeks after first application then you may perform a broadcast maintenance application at the rate of 1 lb. of product per 100 sq. ft. Reapply Hi-Yield Snake Repellent after heavy rainfall or every two weeks.
Where to Use
Use Hi-Yield Snake Repellent around homes, garages, barns, swimming pools, garden sheds, woodpiles, areas where children and pet plays, lawns, flowerbeds, desired plants, and other areas where snakes may be a problem.
When to Use
Hi-Yield Snake Repellent should be used on calm, days when rain or heavy winds are not expected at least 24 hours after application. Snakes are pests that cannot tolerate the cold and will be most active in warm weather such as spring or summer.
