Hi-Yield Dormant Spray, manufactured by VPG, is a liquid insecticide that controls various insects such as scale or fall armyworms within ornamental foliage and fruit trees.

This products concentrate formula of the active ingredient mineral oil 98.8% helps to suffocate hard to control targeted insects.

Hi-Yield Dormancy Spray formulation allows for listed foliage to be treated during periods of dormancy to prevent further damage by insects. This product can handle most insect infestations on its own, but can be mixed with other insecticides or fungicides except for those containing Sulfur.

Tools Needed

Hi-Yield Dormant Spray can be applied with a backpack or handheld pump sprayer. To avoid foliage damage, we recommend using a handheld pump sprayer to avoid drift during application.

How to Use

Spraying Flowering Shrub

For ornamentals, mix 3 tablespoons ( 1.5 oz.) of Hi-Yield Dormant Spray in 1 gallon of water. For fruit trees, mix 6 tablespoons (3 oz.) of product in 1 gallon of water. Applications for fruit trees, may be repeated at intervals of 3 to 4 weeks during the dormant season.
  • Step 2: Fill your sprayer with half the amount of water, add the measured amount of Hi-Yield Dormant Spray, then pour the remaining half of water. Close the sprayer lid and agitate until evenly mixed.
  • Step 3: Apply Hi-Yield Dormant Spray to areas where have you witness listed pest activity. Coat the top and bottom of foliage leaves on a low-pressure fan spray setting to avoid drift and run-off.
