Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant, manufactured by Southern Ag, incorporates a soluble herbicide oil and a surfactant for increased effectiveness when added to other labeled herbicides.
Composed of both paraffin base petroleum hydrocarbons and an oil soluble surfactant blend, Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant increases the mode of action of the herbicide as well as acting as a wetting agent.
Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant can also be used as a foliar spray.

To use Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, or backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For spot or small area treatments, a 1% solution of Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant is suggested when in conformity with the herbicide label. For a 1 gallon spray solution, add in 4 tsp of product to obtain a 1% solution. For 3 gallons of spray solution, mix in 2 oz. (4 tbs.) of product to obtain a 1% solution. For 25 gallons of spray solution, add in 16 oz. (1 pint) of product to obtain a 1% solution.
- Step 2: Fill spray tank to 2/3 of the desired amount of water, add any labeled herbicides, then add Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant, and add the remaining amount of water. Agitate until all added chemicals are mixed well.
- Step 3: Apply Herbi-Oil 83-17 Spray Adjuvant to the desired treatment area according to the herbicide label it is mixed with.
