Headway G Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a granular fungicide that provides the effectiveness of a spray with the convenience of granular formulation due to a highly soluble carrier.

Even heavy dew can dissolve the carrier, adding to the efficiency of the product. Headway G provides the same long-lasting broad-spectrum control of the liquid Headway formulation on turfgrass diseases including brown patch, dollar spot, anthracnose and take-all patch.

Safe, easy and convenient to use, we highly recommend Headway G Fungicide for those wanting a simple solution to turf diseases.

Tools Needed

To use Headway G Fungicide, you will need either a push spreader or hand spreader to broadcast the granules on a lawn.

How to Use

Spreading Headway G Granules on lawn

  • Step 1: Determine how much Headway G granules you will need to apply on your target area by calculating the square footage. To do this, you will need to measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Headway G Granules are applied at a rate of 2.2 to 5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For example, if you measure a 3,000 sq. ft. area, you will need 6.6 to 15 lbs. of granules to cover the entire lawn.
  • Step 2: Load Headway G granules to a spreader of your choosing at the appropriate rate for the disease you are trying to control. Use rate vary depending on the disease being treated. Please see the label for complete use rates.
  • Step 3: Once your spreader is properly calibrated to the recommended setting for the granules (by checking the spreader setting portion of the label) push your spreader along the turf making sure to get an even spread. You may need to do two passthroughs perpendicular to one another to accomplish this.
  • Step 4: Reapply as needed every 2 to 3 weeks depending on the disease and it's severity or for continued protection and fungus prevention.

Where to Use

Headway G Fungicide can be used on residential and commercial turf, athletic fields and other applicable areas where there are fungal disease problems.

When to Use

Use Headway G Fungicide upon first seeing a fungus or disease on your plants or as a preventative measure against disease during the growing season.
