Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate
Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate by Monterey is a liquid calcium supplement that is designed to be applied onto plants that have a calcium deficiency. Plants deficient in calcium will receive a much-needed boost to assist them in producing strong, healthy cells to fight off plant pathogens that can lead to disease. Foli-Cal can be used to control diseases like bitter pit, blossom end rot, internal browing and other problems in vegetables and fruits like apples, celery, pears, tomatoes, peppers and more.
Tools Needed
To use Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate, you will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For general applications, we recommend a hand pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Calculate the square footage of the area you wish to treat by measuring the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). The amount of Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate you will need depends on what you are using it for. For vegetables and ornamentals, apply 3 oz. of Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate in 2 gallons of water. For trees and vines, apply 6 oz. of product in 4 gallons of water. For turf and lawns with calcium deficiencies, apply 3 oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. You can calculate the square footage of your lawn by multiplying the length and width of your area together (length x width = square footage).
- Step 2: After measuring the amount of Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate you need, fill a sprayer with half of the water you need to your spray tank. Mix in the measured amount of Foli-Cal Liquid Calcium Concentrate, then pour the remaining half of water into the tank. Close the container and shake well until the product is thoroughly mixed.
- Step 3: Apply to the plant foliage, wetting the entire plant surface. For an even coverage, use a fan spray setting. Repeat application every 10 to 14 days as needed.
