EverGreen Crop Protection EC 60-6, manufactured by MGK, is a broad spectrum insecticide that can control over 100 different pests over numerous crops and even harvested fruits and vegetables.

This product uses a high concentration of pyrethrins and PBO for quick knockdown. The PBO in this product acts as an enhancer, making the pyrethrins more effective and harder for the insects to build up resistance.

EverGreen Crop Protection EC 60-6 provides total insect control throughout multiple crop seasons including right up to the point of harvest.

Tools Needed

This product can be used for small volume application, such as with a pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer, but it is mainly used for large volume application or crops and plant fields using boom sprayers, aerial applications, and it can even be used through watering systems.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Before application, it is important to measure the area you plan to apply to and to know which application method you will use. Mix rates will vary depending on your targeted pest, treatment area, and application method. For foliar spraying, typically you will mix 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon of water. Alyways read the label for proper mix and application rates prior to treatment.
  • Step 2: Measure out the appropriate amount of EverGreen and add it to your application system. Ensure that there is proper agitation before applying the product.
  • Step 3: Apply the product over the desired areas. Apply in an even and thorough pattern to ensure the pests do not have any safe spots to hide.
  • Step 4: Reapply as directed by the label. EverGreen has a long lasting residual so it may not be necessary to reapply very often, so refer to the label for your specific pest.

Where to Use

EverGreen can be applied to many areas but is most commonly used to treat crop fields and ornamental plants from destructive or nuisance pests. See the label for full list of use sites and approved vegetation.

When to Use

EverGreen can be used year round for continual control, but it is most effective at the beginning of the season, when pests are first starting to establish themselves and breed. Application timings can change depending on what plants or crops you are applying to, and what pest is targeted, so refer to the label for specific instruction regarding your plants and pests.

Safety Information

It is important to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) anything you handle the product, measure and mix the product, or apply this chemical. There are also strict guidelines to observe when cleaning the application device, so refer to the label for proper cleaning and maintenance information. This product is extremely toxic to aquatic life and honey bees, so do not spray in areas where the product could contaminate water, or in areas where bees are actively foraging.

Special Considerations

EverGreen is a highly concentrated chemical, so proper measurement and mixing is crucial. If the product is measured inaccurately it could lead to inconsistent results, or even harm the plants that are applied to (phytotoxicity). EverGreen is an oil-based product, which means it will have an odor, it can potentially stain vinyl and plastic surfaces, and can degrade rubber hose fittings or attachments if not cleaned properly.

Keith's Pro Tips"While EverGreen can be enough to get control of an infestation, you can actually use this mixed with another insecticide. This can make the treatment more effective or leave a residual depending on what you choose to mix it with. Be sure to read the label of any insecticides first to make sure there are no restrictions."
