Edgeless Turf Grass Growth Regulator

Edgeless Turf TGR, manufactured by SePRO Corporation, is a turf growth regulator that can reduce mowing times by up to 8 weeks. 

This product doesn’t kill the grasses; it slows their growth rate and allows for longer intervals between trimming.

Edgeless Turf TGR controls various cool—and warm-season grasses, making it an effective treatment regardless of your lawn type.

Tools Needed

This product can be applied with various tools. For household applications, you can use a hand pump sprayer, a backpack sprayer, or a hose-end sprayer. For larger-volume applications, you can use a professional spray rig. It can also be helpful to use a marking dye in the mix to show where the product has been sprayed to ensure even distribution.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Edgeless Turf Grass Growth Regulator you will need to mix and apply by first measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage. For acreage, divide the square footage by one acre (square footage/ 43,560 sq. ft. = square footage). Typically, you will apply between 2430 to 80 ounces of Edgeless per acre. For small areas, use 0.45 to 1.83 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. See the label for exact dilutions rates for your acreage size and grass type.
• Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water, then measure out the required amount of chemical and add it to your sprayer. Fill the sprayer with the remaining amount of water, screw on the lid and thoroughly agitate your sprayer and you’re ready to apply. Dilutions and application rates may vary based on your grass type.
• Step 3: Apply the product evenly as a 6 inch edging or banding application along the perimeter of turf areas, such lawns, landscape beds, or driveways.
• Step 4: Allow the product to dry for at least 2 hours after application. After the product is dried the area needs to be watered within 24 hours of application with at least 0.25" of water. Avoid mowing the treated areas until rainfall or irrigation has occurred.
• Step 5: Growth will be inhibited for about 8 weeks. You may need to reapply every 8 to 12 weeks for continued control.

Where to Apply

Apply Edgeless Turf Grass Growth Regulator to grasses that are fully established. It can be applied to turf around the perimeter of lawns, landscape beds, sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, driveways, posts, mailboxes, buildings, gravestones, and fences.

When to Apply

Apply when turf grass is actively growing, such as Spring when grass has resumed growing after dormancy. Final application of Edgeless should be timed a minimum of 4 weeks before the onset of inactive grass growth or winter dormancy.

Safety Information

Edgeless Turf Grass Growth Regulator is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Special Considerations

Edgeless Turf TGR needs to be applied to actively growing grasses. This product does not kill the grasses, or weeds, it merely slows their growth for easier management. Different grasses have different growth seasons, so it is necessary to know the growth season of your grass before application.
