The Earthway 3400 Hand Spreader is manufactured by Earthway and it is easy to use a granular spreader for smaller residential and commercial jobs where a larger spreader is not needed. It can be used with any granular product such as insecticide, seed, fertilizer, and ice melters. With its ergonomic comfort grip and scoop-front design, you are able to scoop the product up without having to touch it and can hold up to 1.8 liters of granules, which make this product ideal for spot spreading.

Tools Needed

To use the Earthway 3400 you will need a granular product of your choice as well as nitrile gloves or chemical resistant gloves.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much granules you will need to spread on your target area and then set the spreader to the proper setting on the rate gauge assembly--a light application, moderate application or heavy application.
• Step 2: Scoop or pour granules into spreader hopper, based on the granular products label.
• Step 3: Pull the trigger and hold it in place to apply granules at the rate recommended based on the label for the granular treatment you are using. You will need to turn the handle crank as you walk over the entire treatment area.
• Step 4: When finished, empty any remaining material from the hopper and give the spreader a thorough washing and allow to dry before storing away.

Where to Use

The Earthway Hand Spreader 3400 can be used outdoors when applying granular treatment to your lawn, flowerbed, garden or similar small area.
