Duraflex ZC
Duraflex ZC
Duraflex ZC, manufactured by CSI, is a dependable adulticide and insect growth regulator combination prepared to control and prevent future or current pests from destroying homes, lawns, and ornamental trees.
Integrated with 2 insect growth regulators, novaluron and pyriproxyfen, this product successfully breaks the life cycle of insects reproduction such as fleas, cockroaches, and mosquitoes. When applied, Duraflex ZC also strikes down the adult forms of crawling and flying pests, further preventing the possibility of population increase and lessening the chances of foliage death.
Duraflex ZC is a cost-effective, low-odor treatment that stops pests activities now and later on for up to 14 days after application. This all-in-one product features a microencapsulated design that ensures a controlled release of the product material for immediate and long-term control efforts.
Tools Needed
To apply Duraflex ZC, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, sprinkling-can, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Duraflex ZC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acerage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For indoor spot treatments and crack and crevice treatments, use 1 to 2 fl. oz. of Duraflex ZC in 1 to 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For outdoor perimeter treatments around structures, apply 1 to 2 fl. oz. of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For broadcast applications on lawns, apply 1 to 2 fl. oz. of product in 3 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To control insects in landscape ornamental plants and interiorscapes, use 0.25 to 2 fl. oz. of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Duraflex ZC, then pour in the remaining half of water. Agitate the solution until the mixture has dissolved and continue to so during the entire application process. If mixed with EC formulations, use within 24 hours.
- Step 3: Spray the Duraflex ZC across the top and bottom of turf leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff for lawn applications. For perimeter treatments, spray up to 2 feet on foundation wall and 7 feet out on the adjacent ground. Spray along cracks and crevices, but do not to the point of runoff. Repeat applications every 7 to 14 days depending on the pest.
Where to Use
Duraflex ZC can be used in and around listed structures. This product can also be used on lawns, turfgrass, ornamental trees, ornamental grasses and shrubs around residential, institutional, public, commercial, agricultural and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, golf course out of play areas (including native planting areas, around clubhouses, outbuildings and on-course lavatories), athletic fields and greenhouses.
When to Use
Apply Duraflex ZC when pests are first witnessed and prior to pest activity. Outdoor applications can be done on calm, warm days when rainfall is not expected to occur for the next 24 hours after treatment.
Safety Information
Duraflex ZC is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets on treated surfaces until the spray has dried. Do not allow people or pets to enter treated outdoor areas until 72 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Once mixed, you have to immediately use Duraflex ZC before it loses its ineffectiveness. If mixture sits for more than 2 hours, shake well before application. Do not allow mixture to stand overnight.

Keith's Pro Tips | "While phytotoxicity testing has been carried out on a wide range of ornamental plants under various environmental conditions, and no phytotoxicity has been observed, it is impossible to test all species and varieties. Certain cultivars may be sensitive to the final spray solution. It is advised to pre-spray a small section of ornamental plants and observe them for 7-10 days prior to treating large areas if local use experience is unavailable." |
Product Drawbacks | Duraflex ZC cannot treat infested bedding, instead place items in sealed plastic bags, and take for laundering and drying at high temperatures. |

Q:It only last for 14 days?2/6/24A:Duraflex ZC will only last for 7-14 days after applications. Repeated treatments should only be done if there are still signs of pest activity. However, keep in mind this product contains 2 insect growth regulators so future generations of pests will be unable to grow and reproduce leading to eventual death.
