Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide
Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide, manufactured by Drexel, is a emulsifiable concentrate that provides superior system control of broadleaf weeds such as crabgrass and bindweed in grass forage sites and more.
Formulated to control a variety of broadleaf weeds with the active ingredient Dicamba 10.73% and 2,4-D Ester 49.64%. Once applied, this mode of action stunts the growth of the weed and burns it down to the root for complete weed elimination.
Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide allows for ultimate flexibility of crop planting and can easily be mixed with other pre plant or pre-emergent herbicides.
Tools Needed
To apply Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide, you will need to use a knapsack sprayer or other small capacity sprayers such as a handheld pump sprayer.
To improve burn down of emerged weeds, surfactants and / or low use rate of liquid fertilizers (28-0-0, 32-0-0) or Crop Oil Concentrate (COC) may be used with this product or tank-mixes after the weeds have emerged.
Crop Oil Concentrate (COC) is for non-food / feed purposes only.
How to Use:
- Step 1: Determine how much Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take your square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Depending on the weed and crop the application rates will vary. For pre-emergence weed control in corn, use 2 to 2.5 pints of Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide per 20 to 100 gallons of water per acre 3 to 5 days after planting but before corn emergence. Broadcast applications to pastures and rangelands, apply 2.75 pints of this product per 100 gallons of water per acre. For spot treatments in pastures and rangelands, use 5.2 pints of this product per 20 to 100 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the label for more specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer tank with half of the required amount of water and then add the measured amount of Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with remaining half of water and agitate until the product is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the mixed Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide solution to the top and bottom of weed leaves, stems, and root collars until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide can be used on conservation reserve program (CRP) Land; corn (preplant and pre-emergence); cotton (pre-plant); fallow systems (between crop applications); general farmstead; grass (hay or silage); pastures; rangeland; sorghum; soybeans (pre-plant); and wheat. Also for use on rights-of-way; forest brush control; industrial sites; non-irrigation ditchbanks; fencerows; and other non-crop areas.
Do not apply to crops that show injury (leaf phytotoxicity or plant stunting) produced by any other prior herbicide applications, because this injury may be enhanced or prolonged.
When to Use
Apply Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide when rainfall is not forecasted for up to 4 hours after application and when weeds have first emerged or at the labeled growth stages.
Safety Information
Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Special Considerations
Do not apply tank-mixes with Drexel Dicam De-Ester Herbicide that include Ammonium Sulfate (AMS) or Crop Oil Concentrate (COC) to any food / feed crop use listed on this label.
