Tools Needed

It can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or hose-end sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Dismiss NXT Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned turf, apply 0.117 to 0.234 per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For warm-seasoned turf, use 0.234 to 0.350 per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Close the spray tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. 

Where to Use

Dismiss NXT Herbicide can be used in turf Including Residential, Commercial and Institutional Lawns, Athletic Fields, Commercial Sod Farms, Golf Course Fairways and Roughs, and Other Non-crop Sites such as Railroad Rights-of-Way, Highway, Roadside, Pipeline and Utility Rights-of-Way, Industrial Areas, Fence Rows.

When to Use

Apply when weeds are present during the late summer, fall, or early spring (avoid applications in the spring if you can as there is still a risk).

Safety Information

Dismiss NXT Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets out of the treated area until the spray has dried. 

Special Considerations

Turfgrass discoloration may occur when Dismiss NXT herbicide is applied under environmental conditions favoring frost. Discoloration may be more severe in shaded areas, or low-lying areas where frost may persist.

This product may cause temporary discoloration to exposed leaf surfaces on St. Augustinegrass and certain cultivars of zoysiagrass, bahiagrass, or rough bluegrass. Treated turfgrass will recover with new growth. Discolored leaf tissue will be removed with mowing.

To minimize potential adverse effects, avoid Dismiss NXT herbicide applications in late fall or early spring.

Do not apply with surfactants unless previous experience has demonstrated combinations with surfactant to be physically compatible and non-injurious to the grass type in question.
