Deer Stopper II Repellent Concentrate
Deer Stopper II Repellent Concentrate
Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate, manufactured by Messinas, is a plant powered formula that is effective against deer species such as deer and moose out of your garden and ornamental plants for up to 30 days without the use of chemicals or poisons.
This moisture resistant concentrate can be sprayed directly on your trees and shrubs and uses a custom blend of oils and eggs to keep deer away from desired foliage through the sense of taste, smell, and feel.
Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate uses cinnamon oil 2.20%, which smells pleasant to people, but is instinctly repulsive to deer. Thus, treated ornamentals and trees can still be rendered aesthetically pleasing without leaving behind offensive odors, staining, or harmful chemicals like other pesticide products.
Tools Needed
Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate will need to mixed with water in a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect your yard and plants for signs of deer activity from droppings, broken stems and leaves, tracks, or the animal itself.
- Step 2: Mix 1 part of Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate with 9 parts water (13 oz. will make one gallon of product). In your selected sprayer, fill it with half the amount of water, add measured amount of product, then pour remaining amount of water in. Close the tank lid and shake until solution is evenly mixed.
- Step 3: Spray a fine mist of Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate to the entire plant until covered, but not to the point of runoff. When using near edible crops, apply a perimeter application.
- Step 4: Allow Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate to dry for 20 minutes on treated foliage before watering, rainfall, or any other type of watering practices. If needed, repeat applications every 30 days or as needed until all signs of deer activity has ceased.
Where to Use
Apply Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate to gardens, shrubs, flowers, trees and tree trunks, and on dormant fruit and nut trees. It may also be used around fruits and vegetables as a perimeter treatment only.
Do not apply to plants that are grown for human and animal consumption or on food plants.
When to Use
Use Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate when deer activities such as bedding down, or rubbing against tree trunks are noticed. To further prevent home and garden harm, apply this product to key areas every 30 days regardless of weather or watering.
Safety Information
Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate is safe to use around children, pets, and vegetables when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Due to possible allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients used to make this product, do not apply to plants that are grown for human or animal consumption.
Special Considerations
Repeat applications of Deer Stopper ll Repellent Concentrate every 30 days for continued protection against deer, elk, moose, and other related species. For best results, it would be best to apply 30 days prior to the fall and winter season when deer are most active.
