Tools Needed

It can be applied directly from the bag or with a type of spreader such as a hand or broadcast. Be sure to also wear gloves when handling the product. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Deadline M-Ps Snail & Slug Bait to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For ornamental plants apply 29 pellets per 1,000 sq. ft. or 25 pounds per acre. The maximum number of applications for ornamental is 6 per season. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Adjust the spreader to the proper calibration, and then load the proper amount of pellets.
• Step 3: Apply in a band between rows and/or directed towards the base of the plants. Do not apply as a wide-area broadcast. Do not allow bait pellets to come in contact with edible portions of the plant except to grass grown for seed, forage, or hay, taro, corn, soybean, clover grown for seed, and wheat and as specified for use in State and Federal invasive mollusk eradication operations. Do not re-water for 48 hours after application.

Where to Use

Deadline M-Ps Snail & Slug Bait can be used around ornamentals, listed small fruits and berries, citrus, corn, hops, soybean, listed vegetable crops, and grass grown for seed.

This product may not be applied to residential sites (i.e., in yards, gardens, around homes and apartments) and other sites, such as the exterior areas around schools and daycare facilities, athletic fields, playgrounds, parks, recreation areas, etc,. unless specified for use in State and/or Federal invasive mollusk eradication operations 

When to Use

Make applications during the evening. For best results, apply following rain or irrigation since slugs and snails will not crawl over dry soil.

Keep people out of the treated area for at least 12 hours.

This pesticide is toxic to birds and mammals.

Special Considerations

Areas treated with metaldehyde may be replanted immediately with crops registered for use on this label. Do not plant any crop not listed on this label in the treated area for at least 30 days after the last treatment with metaldehyde.
