Cyonara Lawn & Garden, manufactured by CSI, is a broad-spectrum insecticide that fights and repels various mosquitoes, ants, fleas, sod webworms, and other types of insects from around your home, such as the lawn and garden.

This liquid-formulated product is designed with 0.5% lamba-cyhalothrin to provide a wider and stronger control of insect pests. Once pests encounter this product's material, their central nervous system becomes overstimulated, leading to paralysis and eventual death.

Cyonara Lawn & Garden may only be used outside of the home, but with one application, your property will be protected and treated up to 16,000 sq. ft.

Tools Needed

You will need to use either a backpack sprayer or a handheld pump sprayer.

How to Use

Spraying Shrub

  • Step 1: Determine how much Cyonara Lawn & Garden to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet and multiply (length X width = square footage). Depending on the pest the application rate will vary, apply 0.5 oz. (1 tablespoon) of Cyonara Lawn & Garden per 1 gallon of water per 125 sq. ft. The highest application rate will be 4 oz. of product per 8 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. for severe infestations. Do not apply more than 7 times per year per location.
  • Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer halfway with the required amount of water, add the measured amount of Cyonara Lawn & Garden, and then fill the rest of the way with the remaining amount of water. Close the lid to the sprayer tank lid and shake to ensure an even agitation.
  • Step 3: Several hours prior to application, light watering should be applied to treatment areas to help with adhesion. Adjust the spray nozzle to a low-pressure spray to treat the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of run-off. Postpone additional watering or mowing until 24 hours have passed after application.

Where to Use

Cyonara Lawn & Garden is meant for outdoor use around the home only. This product may be applied to ornamental plants next to building foundations, to surfaces of porches, buildings, screens, overhangs, window frames, garages, patios, around vents and door frames, ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, and vegetables (lettuce head and leaf, onion bulb, garlic, tomato, and tomatillo).

In New York, this product may not be applied to lawns within 100 sq. ft. of a coastal marsh or stream that drains directly into a coastal marsh.

When to Use

Use at the beginning of pest activities or when first noticed. Typically, this will be at the beginning or end of spring (May) and summer (from July to October). Apply this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours to ensure wind or rainfall does not blow away from the treatment area.

Safety Information

Cyonara Lawn & Garden is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying or handling this product.

Do not allow children or pets into the treated areas until dry.

Special Considerations

Cyonara Lawn & Garden is non-staining on most home siding, depending on age and cleanliness. Prior to applying this product to areas that may contact home siding, test in a hidden area and recheck in a few hours.
