Unlike liquid wetting agents, Cascade Plus 16G Granular Wetting Agent can be applied quickly with a spreader, requiring no mixing. Once in the soil profile, its formula delivers up to six months of water infiltration benefits. It works by breaking the surface tension that prevents water from soaking in. How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Cascade Plus 16G Granular Wetting Agent to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). To make one treatment (which would relieve the symptoms of LDS for 4 - 6 months), apply 7 pounds of Cascade Plus 16G Granular Wetting Agent per 1,000 sq. ft. For split applications (60- day intervals to relieve the symptoms of LDS), use 3.5 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. 
• Step 2: Calibrate the spreader to the proper settings then load the needed amount of granules.
• Step 3: Ensure the foliage is dry before application then spread the granules evenly across the area. For soil treatment of blooming plants, irrigate the treated area when 6 hours have passed after application. Other application sites will require irrigation within 24 hours after treatment.

Cascade Plus 16G Granular Wetting Agent can be used on all golf courses, sod farms, recreational, commercial, and residential turfgrass areas, as well as sports grass playing surfaces and landscape ornamental plantings. 

When to Use

It can be applied at any time of the year, using conventional fertilizer spreading equipment, to relieve plant stress caused by hydrophobic soil conditions. Due to the unique chemistry of this product, it can be used as either a preventative measure against LDS or as a curative treatment later in the growing season.
