Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide
Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide is an easy ornamental insecticide that provides long-lasting protection against insects and diseases for up to 6 weeks.
Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide, manufactured by Bonide, is an essential dual-action systemic insecticide specially formulated to protect roses, flowers, and other ornamentals from pests and diseases.
Once applied, the solution is absorbed by the plant’s roots, traveling through the vascular system to deliver targeted protection against pests and diseases. This powerful product defends against common garden invaders such as aphids, Japanese beetles, and black spot, while also promoting healthy, vibrant blooms.
Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide is a versatile insecticide that saves time and effort by combining insecticide and fungicide into a single solution. By being absorbed into the plant, the product offers a unique level of protection that surface sprays cannot achieve. This internal defense ensures pests and fungi are controlled at their source.
Tools Needed
You will need a bucket or watering can.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For roses, apply 2 fl. oz. of Bonide Rose Shield Systemic Rose & Flower Drench Insecticide in 1 quart of water to treat 1 plant. For flowerbeds, use 2 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water to treat 12 sq. ft. For azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, and other shrubs use 1 fl. oz. of product with 1 quart of water per foot of plant height.
- Step 2: Fill a bucket or watering can with the appropriate amounts of concentrate (add first) and water (add last).
- Step 3: Slowly pour as close to the base of the plant as possible, being careful not to get on leaves. When finished, rinse the bucket/watering can with clean water and pour onto the treated area.
- Step 4: Reapply every 6 weeks for a total of 3 applications per year. In areas where disease occurs frequently and the soil is sandy, the application interval can be shortened to 4-5 weeks for a total of 4 applications per year.
